Successful Direct Debits Over Christmas 2020

It’s never too early to think about Bacs Christmas processing!

If Direct Debits are not collected on the expected date, your organisations income can be disrupted. This is particularly an issue over Christmas and New Year when there are extra bank holidays. These additional Bacs non-processing days will impact when you need to submit your files to Bacs to ensure collection at the correct time.  To help, you can use the timetable below:

Remember – it is possible to submit files with a future processing date. This means you can submit files before you take your festive break. Please speak to us if you wish to send files to Bacs with future dates and we can help.

Submission Timeline:

All Bacs files we receive before midday on a Bacs processing day will be sent to Bacs the same working day. Files received after midday or on a Bacs non processing day (weekend/bank holiday) will be sent to Bacs on the next available Bacs processing day.
