Maintaining SEPA Direct Debit Records
All mandates, paper or electronic, must be retained by the Creditor for the life of the mandate. If the contract ends with the Debtor, the Mandate should be retained by the Creditor for a period of 36 months after the date of the last collection. After which it can be destroyed.
If cancelled, archiving the SEPA Mandate is the responsibility of the Creditor. The storing of the mandate in an electronic form is permitted.
